I am a Kalamazoo native and recent graduate of the University of Michigan. At Michigan, I played Varsity Tennis, earning four letters, and serving as team captain for two seasons. As a regular starter in Michigan’s singles’ lineup, I amassed 89 total wins, including a Big Ten Indoor Singles and Doubles Championship, and was a two-time Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner. Off court, I was a three-time All-Academic Big Ten honoree, a two-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, and an ITA Scholar my senior year.
Prior to attending Michigan, I played both on the USTA junior national circuit, and on the Loy Norrix High School boys’ team. I was ranked as high as 27 in the country during my junior career; competing four times at the USTA Boys Nationals in Kalamazoo. At Loy Norrix High School, I served as a two-time captain while also winning three MHSAA Division II State titles at number one singles. I was named Mr. Tennis for the State of Michigan following my senior season at Loy Norrix High School. I have trained at West Hills since 2005 and look forward to serving on staff!
